Dear Community Partners,

Bridges To Prevention may have a small amount of funding left from this last round of RFP’s that was identified by the Governor’s Commission for selective and indicated interventions (COHORT V).  We have the opportunity through BDAS to open up an RFP process for universal interventions that are on the SAMHSA National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) list.

If you are interested in applying for this universal intervention, please provide Bridges To Prevention a Letter of Intent by Wednesday, February 9th with a one-page overview of the program you want to implement and a one or two year budget to support that program.  The full proposal will be due on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. 

The reason that we have such a short turn around time is that there are unawarded funds available and my proposal overviews of each program needs to be into BDAS by Friday, the 11th in order to meet the Governor’s Commission meeting deadline of February 18th.  They do not have a March meeting and we wanted to be able to provide people the opportunity to let us know if they are interested in any selective, indicated or universal strategies to implement in your communities. 

We recognize that this is hard to prepare proposals in such a short time frame and as we move forward as the regional network, I will be working with you to talk about what is needed in your community and help you prepare for upcoming grants that are available without being rushed in the process.
