ADAPT; Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Tools
A.D.A.P.T. (Adolescent Drug & Alcohol Prevention Tools, Inc.) is a nonprofit community agency that serves Lincoln, Woodstock, and Thornton, New Hampshire. The purpose is to organize, coordinate, and administer an alcohol and other substance abuse, prevention, intervention, and after care program to address the needs of youths under 21 residing in one of these three communities. A.D.A.P.T. works with schools, local businesses, and community members to achieve this goal. We work toward providing alternative activities for youth of the tri-town area.
CADY (Communities for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth)
Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-free Youth (CADY, Inc.) is a federal Drug-Free Communities coalition dedicated to working with schools and communities to prevent and reduce youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and to promote healthy environments and promising futures for area teens. Since 1999, CADY, a non-profit organization, has served the communities of Lin-Wood, Newfound, and Pemi-Baker regions in various capacities with a focus on outcome-based prevention. Free community education programs and activities provided by CADY include: involvement in local and state initiatives to keep teens safe and drug-free including participation in regional prevention councils; Restorative Justice community-based diversion program; referral source for Prime for Life “Under 21,” a research-based education program for youth and adults focused on alcohol and drug prevention and intervention; evidence-based parenting series focused on strengthening family bonds; chem.-free school- and community- based activity programs; the Launch Youth Entrepreneurship Program in partnership with the Common Man Inn; Youth Advocacy and Advisory Council; Media Campaigns; and Project Monitor-- anonymous voice-mail lines to share information about possible underage parties to prevent harmful situations before they occur. CCNTR; Caring Community Network of Twin Rivers
The Caring Community Network of the Twin Rivers is one of fourteen public health networks across the state of New Hampshire, providing community needs assessment and health improvement planning. CCNTR brings people together to help them make a difference for an individual, a family, a town or the region.
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Office of Community Health Improvement and Benefits (DHMC-CHIB)
DHMC-CHIB works to support substance use prevention and treatment initiatives in the Upper Valley region. This includes hosting "Mapping the Addiction Maze" workshops twice annually. These events brings together teachers, counselors, social workers, doctors, nurses, police, elected officials, other professionals, and people in recovery to help find services or support that their patients, students, friends, families or clients need.

The Pemi Youth Center located on Main Street in Plymouth offers after-school programs weekdays from 2:30-6:00 p.m. The programs offered by the PYC are:

Tapply-Thompson Community Center
Serves as the recreation department for the towns of Alexandria, Bridgewater, Bristol, Danbury, Groton, Hebron, Hill and New Hampton. The Center is responsible for youth soccer, basketball, baseball and softball for youth in grades K-6. They also run the Babe Ruth Leagues for 16 & under youth. Other programs offered by the TTCC include:

Tobacco Free Coalition of the Upper Valley
The Mascoma Valley Health Initiative works for the health of the public in the NH residents of the greater Upper Valley. We work to:
- promote and encourage healthy behaviors and mental health
- assure the quality and accessibility of health services
- prevent injuries
- prevent epidemics and the spread of disease
- protect against environmental hazards
- respond to disasters and assist communities in recovery
The Service area within Region B includes Lebanon, West Lebanon, Hanover and Lyme.
